The site of the Rosebud Church is also the site of the first 1883 log pioneer church (Anglican) in the community. A commemorative “ebenezer” (1 Samuel 7, stone of help) with a brass plaque is situated on the east of the property. This stone used to be a buffalo rubbing stone.

The property on which the church stands once belonged to the Rosebud Fellowship. It was given to the church when the former church site had to be abandoned due to the construction of a new bridge across the Rosebud River. Dale Krabsen was the main facility Designer, Roger Peters was the Architect, and Bill Baldwin and Don Thiessen coordinated employee and volunteer labour. Don Glazebrooke did much of the interior finish work, Winston Sproule and Harry Christensen the kitchen cabinetry. All of the doors in the sanctuary were from Jimmy Jack, an ardent supporter of the Rosebud Theatre. So many doors were donated many became tables and doors for the Mercantile dining room.
